Grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. Attended Princeton University for undergraduate studies, majoring in psychology and minor in art history. Moved to San Francisco and worked as a research coordinator at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, studying schizophrenia. Went to UCSF for medical school, as well as internship, neurology residency, and neurohospitalist fellowship. Worked at Palo Alto Medical Foundation / El Camino Hospital as a neurohospitalist for 5 years and then transitioned to teleneurology this past year.
