Dr. Ariane Soldatos is the director of the Pediatric Neurology consultation service in the Intramural Research Program at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. She trained at Boston Children's Hospital, where she completed her pediatric neurology residency, followed by a 2-year fellowship in neuro-infectious diseases and autoimmune neurology. She holds a diploma in Tropical Medicine from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the UK, and a Master in Public Health from Harvard. She has developed expertise in rare diseases and genomics, through her work with the Undiagnosed Diseases Program at the National Human Genome Research Institute, where she leveraged genomic sequencing in patients with refractory encephalitis of unknown etiology. She is associate investigator on first-in-human clinical trials for rare genetic diseases, including gene therapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
