Monica Parker is Director of the Outreach, Recruitment and Education(ORE) and Minority Engagement (MEC) Cores of the Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at Emory University. A member of the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, she was appointed to the Commission on Continuing Professional Development for the American Academy of Family Physicians(AAFP). She is an inaugural member of the FDA's Patient Engagement Advisory Committee (PEAC). A recipient of several honors, she was most recently a 2021 Yellow Rose Awardee of the Georgia Legislature Women’s Caucus. Castle-Connolly and Associates named her one of Atlanta’s Top Doctors, in Family/Geriatric Medicine 2009-2013.
