Dr. Fatemi is a pediatric neurologist and Chief Medical Officer of the Kennedy Krieger Institute, and director of the Moser Center for Leukodystrophies. He is also a Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His research focuses on discovery and development of novel treatments for adrenoleukodystrophy and other leukodystrophies, encompassing both basic bench research, clinical outcome measure studies and clinical trials.
