Emily Largent, JD, PhD, RN, is the Emanuel and Robert Hart Assistant Professor of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine; she holds a secondary appointment at Penn Law. Dr. Largent’s work explores ethical and regulatory aspects of human subjects research as well the social, legal, and ethical considerations arising when research findings are translated into care. She also studies the lived experience of patients and caregivers along the Alzheimer’s continuum with a focus on improving communication and decision making.
