Lori Shutter, MD, FCCM, FNCS, is a neuro-intensivist and Professor in the Departments of Critical Care Medicine, Neurology, and Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she serves as Vice Chair of Education; Director, Multidisciplinary Critical Care and Neurocritical Care Fellowship Training Programs; and Division Chief, Neurocritical Care. She earned her MD from Emory University, completed Internship at University of Alabama and Neurology residency at Emory University. Dr. Shutter’s research focuses on traumatic brain injury, advanced neuro-monitoring, and clinical guideline development. Her publications list over 150 research papers, guidelines and book chapters.
