Matthew Kirschen is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Pediatrics, and Neurology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is the Associate Director of Pediatric Neurocritical Care at CHOP. His research is focused on using multimodality neuromonitoring to detect and prevent brain injury in critically ill children, predicting recovery in children after severe acute brain injury, and the accurate diagnosis of brain death.
