Takeda Pharmaceuticals

Dr. Niraj Shanbhag is a Medical Director in clinical development at Takeda Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He received his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an internship in general medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, and a residency in Neurology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). After completing his residency, he trained in behavioral neurology at UCSF while completing post-doctoral research at the Gladstone Institutes. Currently, he works in clinical development, designing and executing clinical trials across a range of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, and frontotemporal dementia.
