Dr. Avery is the Richard Shafritz Endowed Chair in Pediatric Ophthalmology Research and attending Neuro-Ophthalmologist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He is an associate professor of Ophthalmology and Neurology at The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. His OPG research is funded by the National Cancer Institute, National Eye Institute, US Department of Defense, Children's Tumor Foundation and The Gilbert Family Foundation.
